The First National Bank of the Gulf Coast involved major exterior and interior renovations of an existing bank structure. The client wished to remove the entire second floor space and create large vaulted areas, particularly in the teller spaces.
To achieve the removal of the second floor without leaving in place a large amount of structural columns, it was necessary to propose removing the entire roof structure. It was critical for all exterior replacement work, including the new roof, to match the existing 1980s architecture near the site and maintain the strong residential feel of a community bank. A new logo and identity program was also developed which communicates the bank’s strong mission statement of “The Golden Rule Bank”.
